Detailed Description
Accessible documents are good for all learners, not just those with a visual impairment. If every teacher made their documents accessible transcribers would be able to create text-based documents for large print and braille users much more efficiently. This full day course will give you hands-on, practical experience of creating accessible Word and PowerPoint documents, including how to use headings and how to insert a table to make it accessible for a screen reader user.
Please note this is a practical course. All participants must bring their own laptop running Windows. It must be able to connect to the University's guest Wifi and have a copy of Microsoft Office installed on the device. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
Target Audience: Those new to transcription and anyone who creates documents for learners who need large print or braille. Max: 10 participants.
