DescriptionSpend the afternoon in the historic Anatomical Museum, University of Edinburgh, creating artwork from our unique and inspirational collections. You will have the opportunity to view and create artwork from the collections out with our public opening times.

More InformationA selection of objects from our reserve collections will be on display for you to draw, with a different selection of objects at each Art Wednesday session. Lecturer in Anatomy and Professional Medical Illustrator Victoria McCulloch, along with Museum and Collections Assistant Ruth Pollitt will be present to guide participants and answer any questions. On Wednesday 12th February 2025, we will be hosting a special heART Wednesday! This heART Wednesday will run similar to regular Art Wednesdays, but will a special focus on the heart. Details for this event can be found on our website! Art Wednesdays are non-tutored sessions in the Anatomical Museum, allowing you to focus on drawing objects of your choosing. Please bring your own desired art materials (only dry materials are to be used in the Anatomical Museum, e.g. no paints or inks). Attendees will be sent Artist Regulations, our conditions for drawing in the Anatomical Museum, before their visit. Art Wednesday runs 1 – 4pm. Refreshments and a space to store your belongings will be provided. The Anatomical Museum is a student study space, please be mindful that students will be using the space at the same time.
