DescriptionThe 2nd International Symposium on Palaeo-Bioinspiration (PALBINS 2) will be held in the city of Edinburgh, Scotland, UK from Wednesday 25th – Friday 27th June 2025 and is being organised by the University of Edinburgh, Heriot Watt University and the French Natural History Museum. This event follows on from PALBINS 1 held in Paris in 2023, hosted by the French Natural History Museum.

More InformationThis series of PALBINS symposia, which began in Paris in 2023, aims to create connections between palaeontologists, designers, engineers and industry representatives to foster bioinspiration initiatives focused on the fossil record. In addition to scientific sessions and keynote speakers, this year for PALBINS2 we are offering a workshop in the computational fluid dynamics software OpenFOAM as well as a post-symposium visit to the National Museums Scotland Collection Centre to view and examine fossil material for palaeo-biosinpiration. | |||||||||||||||
