Online CPD Course

This is the UK-satellite conference of the Global Empathy in Healthcare Network and formal launch of Edinburgh Empathy Place at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, University of Edinburgh. 

The event will include tea and coffee mid-morning, and mid-afternoon, along with lunch on both days. Additionally, there will be a drinks and canapé reception on the Monday evening, held in the viewing gallery at Dovecot Studios.

This full-day session focuses on visual deficits in horses from both ophthalmic and neurological aeitiologies, and is designed for practitioners of all levels.

Uniquely, this course will combine lectures, wet-lab and practical sessions with our teaching horses, where you will have the opportunity to practice the below techniques.

•        nerve blocks

•        ophthalmic examination

•        ocular ultrasound 

We have also included sessions on the welfare and behavioural management of horses with compromised vision.
