Unsupervised Self Directed Study (USSD). This module will introduce multiple neurodegenerative diseases (including Motor Neurone Disease, Parkinson's Disease and Multiple Sclerosis) from both the clinical and nursing angles allowing students to explore the clinical base of knowledge covering causes, symptoms, progression and current therapeutic strategies.

Unsupervised Self Directed Study (USSD). This module will explore multiple ways of modelling neurodegenerative diseases from cellular, to genetic, via invertebrate and mammalian systems. Importantly, students will not only learn about the scientific basis for these models but also the ethical arguments surrounding our uses of animals.
