Edinburgh Pathology

The Forensic Medicine & Science Course is an introductory 30 week night class which aims to explore the basic elements of medicine, science and law as applied to the investigation of death and crime, and its application to the court law.

Lectures are held once a week on a Tuesday evening, 18.00 to 21.00 at the latest - some lectures will finish earlier.

The following dates for the 2022-2023 course are provisional and may be subject to change:

Semester 1: Tue 4 October 2022 –  Tue 13 December 2022

Semester 2: Tue 10 January 2023 – Tue 4 April 2023

Semester 3: Tue 25 April 2023– Tue 6 June 2023

Fees:

The standard course fee for the Forensic Medicine and Science Course is £1000.

The course can be paid for in three installments, there is an additional £40 administration charge for this payable with the first instalment. First installment is on registration.

A 20% discount is available to current University of Edinburgh staff and students.

1)    Full payment category (£1000) - £1000 payment on registration.

2)    University of Edinburgh student or staff full payment category (£800) - £800 payment on registration.

3)    Instalment payments category (£1040) - £373 due on registration, £333.50 due before 30/01/23 & 30/03/23.

4)    University of Edinburgh student or staff instalment payments category (£840) - £307 due on registration, £266.50 due before 30/01/23 & 30/03/23.

The Edinburgh Haematopathology Tutorial is an annual 2 day course designed to provide a practical approach to different topics in Haematopathology, delivered by extensive self-study of a large and varied selection of cases using virtual glass slides.
