Detailed Description

This is a catalogue of the University of Edinburgh’s Hope Scott collection of 20th century art.  The text includes an introduction to donors Hope Montagu Douglas Scott and William Johnstone by Douglas Hall, an introduction to the collection by Duncan MacMillan, and a brief biography of William Johnstone by Duncan MacMillan.  The catalogue contains a list of all works in the collection, illustrated by colour and grayscale plates.
